Every day, thousands of babies are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I'm walking in March for Babies because I want to do something about this. And I need your help.

To all of our friends and family it is obvious why this is an important cause to us. It has been over 3 years since we lost Madison and were able to take Taylor home from the NICU. I continue to think of Madison daily and some days are still very difficult to maintain without a little breakdown. However, I am overjoyed with Alexis being born this past year and my pregnancy with her going so smoothly. This gives me hope for other expecting mothers out there that have experienced loss.
With me now working in an OB office, I have personally seen a lot of issues that directly relate to the work that is done by the March for Babies research and education. I have seen women who don't get proper prenatal treatment in time to avoid health risks to their babies and other fatal mistakes being made by unknowing mothers-to-be.
So many of us have had our lives touched by the issues that March for Babies researches and funds. Having a preemie baby, a baby born with health concerns, losing a baby (whether by miscarriage or other health reasons); there are so many people that are affected by these tragedies and losses.
Even if only one mother-to-be and her family could be saved from this type of loss and all of the stresses that accompany, our fundraising efforts will be worth it! While I know it is not realistic to think there would never be another baby lost in utero or born with an awful disease, my hope is that the work being done and the funds being raised would help to prevent all of them that are possible to save.
I am so very grateful that my own daughters, Taylor and Alexis, are happy and healthy girls and I wish that for every other family wanting a child.
Our fundraising efforts over the past few years were rewarded with 2nd and 3rd place awards for the total number of dollars raised as a family team. I cannot tell you how much it means to me that you would all join us in the walk and/or help to support our fundraising efforts by either donating your self or getting outside donations to sponsor you walking with us.
