The whole team from Lorinda's attended a special event hosted by Wella Professionals and PNW Global Elite Salons to veiw the latest styles and trends for Spring and Summer 2013!

Color techniques and trends were the focus of this event. Tricia said she loved learning from the creative Wella Stylists. Quality hair color that keeps with the trends yet is timeless. Sandy enjoyed learning all the new changes in the color industry and the new technology that helps perserve the health and shine of colored hair.

On February 11, 2013, Lorinda's Salon Spa Store team members Tricia, Sandy, Kaitlyn, Stephanie, Kelsy and Lorinda had the honor of attending a superb advanced education event with James Morrison .

Lorinda's team said this was an outstanding opportunity to be included in Parisian Fashion Trends that align with Lorinda's personal value of "Beauty Revealed". This follows the philosophy that everyone is beautiful and the eye and talent of hairdressers is the key to unlocking every one's beauty.

Stephanie was moved by the quote, "it is not what you do, it's why you do it and what drives your passion".
All the team members were moved by James Morrison and his friendly demeanor and ability to teach. Tricia said she loved that James uses a mistake with hair as an opportunity for change and growth.

Lorinda's team members met on Monday. Guest speaker Stephanie Owens from PleaseAholics worked with the team members on customer loyalty, trust and retention through understanding body language, accepting a compliment and responding to a thank you. Lorinda's team feels it is important to respect and respond to their guests and to be authentic in a professional environment.

After the workshop with Stephanie, the team had an interactive hands on workshop featuring clippers, braiding, foiling for short hair, bang trims, facial framing and consultation. Lorinda believes keeping her team up to date and educated on all the latest styles and techniques is one of the best ways to continue to bring the best to her guests.

On  Sunday Lorinda (Owner) and Sandy (Artistic Designer and Salon Educator) attended Deva Curl Academy in Seattle, WA. Deva Curl was created to cater to the curly girl. Curly hair has it's own kind of needs different from other hair textures. Today Lori and Sandy learned the Deva Waterfall Hair Cut. They are excited to teach the other team members at Lorinda's this new technique and to share the entire curly hair system with Lorinda's guests.
