Salon Services and Supply in Renton, Washington continually provides advanced education opportunities. The beauty industry is constantly evolving into greater realms of knowledge; therefore it is important to stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies. Lorinda’s Salon, Spa & Store in Mill Creek, WA utilizes these opportunities, sending team members to multiple educational events throughout each year.
In the last year, Lorinda’s has participated in five Dermalogica and IDI classes.
Owner Lorinda Warner, with team members LeeAnn Johnson and Tricia Soderblom, attended a Dermalogica Live educational event with instructor Anne Pennington—a Dermalogica representative for Salon Services and Supply—March 1st through March 2nd of 2010. This event focused on product knowledge for the professional skin care line, Dermalogica.
October 18th and 19th of 2010, Lorinda returned to Salon Services and Supply for an Advanced Facial and Massage course, enhancing her expertise in those fields.
IDI instructor Hannah Vaughn flew up from sunny California for an IDI International Skin Care Technologies class November 15th through the 17th of 2010. Lorinda and LeeAnn learned cutting edge techniques to performing facials at this three day course held at Salon Services and Supply.
Lorinda and LeeAnn attended advanced training once again on December 29th, 2010. This Treatment, Tools, and Technology one day class focused on the use of electrical modalities for performing facials with Dermalogica skin care products. They learned how to perform Galvanic Current spa treatments, which either pushes or pulls product into the skin to enhance the performance of Dermalogica skin care products. Lorinda and LeeAnn were also educated on High Frequency treatments—which purify and promote healing of acneic skin—and the use of electrical brushes—which assist in exfoliation. This class was taught by Dermalogica representative Marci Christopherson.
Most recently, LeeAnn attended the IDI Galvanic and High Frequency Treatments instructed by IDI representative Mia Holm on March 6th, 2011. Mia flew up from California to tough the winter Washington weather to provide expertise on these treatments.
